Job summary

GELO Holzwerke in the Fichtel Mountains seeks a deputy team leader for the KVH plant to support leadership, ensure a quality-oriented and smooth production process, and drive continuous improvement.

You will monitor performance targets, plan and control processes, compile orders, and conduct bending and drying tests while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role offers strong teamwork and growth opportunities within a long-standing family business.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in a craft or technical field.
• Several years of experience, ideally in wood/manufacturing.
• First leadership experience as shift supervisor/shift manager or willingness to take responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Deputy management in the KVH department.
• Monitor performance targets and ensure compliance.
• Plan, control and monitor processes with continuous process optimization.
• Ensure deadlines, quantities and quality specifications.
• Compile orders for batches, sorting and timber framing lists.
• Perform bending tests (six times daily) and drying tests as needed.
• Analyze disturbances and initiate improvement measures.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and management.

• Deputy Management the employee in the KVH Department
• Monitoring and Compliance with performance targets
• Planning, control and monitoring of the processes as well as continuous Process optimization
• Assurance of deadlines, quantities and quality specifications
• Compilation of orders regarding batches, sorting, and maintenance of the timber framing lists
• Performing bending tests (6 times daily) and drying tests as needed
• Analysis of disturbances and Initiation of improvement measures
• Ensuring compliance with Occupational safety and quality standards and the production process

Your profile:

• Completed vocational training in a craft or technical field
• Several years experience, ideally in the wood or manufacturing industry
• First leadership experience for example as Shift supervisor / Shift manager or a strong willingness to take on responsibility
