IONOS SE is seeking an experienced Specialist Software Developer to join our Managed Kubernetes team in Berlin. You will design and maintain cloud-native Go applications, including Kubernetes operators and REST APIs, while aligning with DevOps practices and security requirements.

The role focuses on building scalable infrastructure, implementing new features, and enhancing observability to ensure reliable, high-performance Kubernetes platforms for internal and external users.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficiency in Golang development with a track record of delivering production-grade code.
• Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, API resources, and extension patterns.
• Knowledge of container orchestration, networking, and security principles.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Linux system administration skills.
• Willingness to undergo extended security vetting (SÜ2).

You'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our Managed Kubernetes Product that serves both internal IONOS teams and external customers. This position requires experience with Kubernetes architecture and a strong focus on operational aspects aligned with the principles of CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
