Distribusion Technologies GmbH in Berlin is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive architecture and platform excellence in our Offers team, contributing to a scalable API product used by global retailers.

You will lead the Go migration, shape high-throughput microservices, and mentor engineers while collaborating across product, data and DevOps to deliver business value.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in Golang.
• Deep knowledge of high-throughput distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience driving architecture transitions and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in English, strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Ruby or Python to navigate legacy code.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go as the pioneer Go engineer.
• Design foundational infrastructure for high-throughput microservices across the new Go architecture and legacy systems.
• Build scalable delivery systems using our AI stack and showcase hands-on execution.

The opportunity

We are searching for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Offers team. The role entails contributing to the product & technical domains of excellence in the main API product that enables large retailers to seamlessly purchase tickets from bus & rail carriers worldwide. The team enables a booking system that includes booking orchestration, invoicing, ticketing, and more.

What you will do:

• Drive the strategic architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go as the pioneer Go engineer.
• Design foundational infrastructure for high-throughput microservices to ensure smooth interoperability between the new Go architecture and legacy systems.
• Help us design and build scalable, automated delivery systems using our diverse AI stack, and actively showcase your hands‑on approach.
• Own the technical backlog and success metrics while coordinating cross‑functional work to strictly align with long‑term business objectives.
• Resolve technical bottlenecks and guide teams to build solutions that maximize business value and justify migration decisions.
• Lead company‑wide technology adoption and agile engineering processes while maintaining highly effective documentation.
• Systematically elevate the team's technical capabilities by upskilling your peers in Go best practices.

Who you are:

• You bring 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in Golang.
• You are a forward‑thinking AI builder driven to design and implement systems that automate delivery rather than just writing code faster.
• You have deep architectural mastery of high-throughput distributed systems, microservices, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• You can seamlessly translate complex technical decisions into business metrics to identify and resolve growth hurdles.
• You excel at cross‑functional leadership and ensuring total transparency between developers, partners, and stakeholders.
• You champion an agile mindset, test‑driven development, and robust CI/CD pipelines to maximize efficiency during technical transitions.
• You are deeply passionate about continuous self‑development and actively mentoring others.
• You ideally have some knowledge of Ruby or Python to effectively navigate our legacy ecosystem.
• You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
