A leading eCommerce company in Europe is looking for a Staff DevOp Engineer to join their Platform Infrastructure Team in Hamburg. The role focuses on maintaining and improving AWS infrastructure while automating deployment workflows and implementing monitoring solutions. Strong knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and a proactive approach to solve problems is essential. The company offers flexible working hours, a modern office, and a diverse work environment.
We are looking for a Staff DevOp Engineer who will join our Platform Infrastructure Team at SCAYLE (onsite Hamburg/remote Germany), have a transformative influence on the way we build, operate and run our platform.
The Scayle Platform Team is responsible for managing our global SaaS e-commerce multi-tenant platform. The platform occasionally sees traffic peaks that require several hundred nodes to serve customer traffic demand. The team’s charter is to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 availability of the platform as well as proactively help advance it.
Our team has a big impact on the entire organization with their contributions to automation and helping us run as efficiently as possible.
Maintain and continuously improve our AWS infrastructure using IaC.
Automate deployment workflows using tools like GitlabCI and Terraform, while maintaining documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational processes.
Develop and implement monitoring solutions across integration, staging, and live environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, and respond swiftly to system alerts and incidents.
Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies to enhance platform performance and reliability, and implement security best practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Feels comfortable with Terraform, Go and Python.
Knowledge of security best practices.
Know how to use Gitlab in your daily routine.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Automation skills to streamline workflows.
Experience with Agile methodology and a proactive approach.
Fluent in English both spoken and written.
