Serrala is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to its next-generation SAP-based enterprise payments solution, joining cross-functional teams in a fast-growing Center of Excellence. The role focuses on ABAP-OO, SAPUI5/FIORI, RAP, and S/4HANA development in an agile environment.

You will analyze requirements with the product owner, drive technical design, mentor juniors, and deliver scalable code with strong documentation and performance optimization.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of work experience with ABAP-OO, OData, REST.
• 2+ years of work experience with SAPUI5 Freestyle Apps and FIORI Elements Apps.
• Experience with solution architecture and technical design.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development and SAP BTP technologies.
• Fluent in English and strong communication skills.

The Pune CoE boasts of cross functional teams that build SaaS products from scratch, onboard customers and offer post-implementation support. Requirement Analysis

• Analyze requirements, design solutions together with the product owner, clarify and communicate dependencies.
• Solutioning/Designing: Engage in and own the technical design process, including solution architecture, technical design, documentation, impact analysis and proof of concept creation.
• Execution Excellence: Break down user stories, set timelines, write clean and efficient code, maintain documentation, and ensure readiness for production, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Business Agility: Actively engage in agile practices, including Scrum/Kanban.
• Collaboration: Collaborate actively, drive to participate and collaborate in initiatives on an organizational level, mentor junior team members, and contribute to technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Technical Ownership: Take ownership of technical topics, challenge technical assumptions and contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.

Technical/ professional qualifications

• Knowledge of ABAP-OO, SAPUI5 and FIORI Elements
• Knowledge of SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming model (RAP)
• Proficient in creating and managing CDS views, business objects, and data modeling using Core Data Services
• Highly experienced in the design and development of business applications
• Experience with OData services and SAP S/4HANA development.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite
• Experience with SAP BTP, including Integration Suite, API Management, Cloud Connector and Destinations.
• Experience with SAP Integration APIs and Extensibility Frameworks.
• Knowledge of Clean Core principles would be beneficial.
• Exposure to SAP Financial modules would be highly beneficial
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD for SAP landscapes would be beneficial.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Joule would be an advantage.
