Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The Sr. Contracts Manager – EMEA plays a critical role in managing and negotiating a broad range of complex purchasing agreements across the EU region. The Sr. Contracts Manager – EMEA will negotiate contractual terms and conditions with suppliers/vendors to ensure compliance in the procurement of products and services for Intuitive.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with key partners at different levels of the organization including legal, finance, and operations.
  • Consult with Legal on key points of German and EU law and commercial best practice, interpreting complex terms and conditions, including IP related terms and incorporate their guidance into contract terms.
  • Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts that establish business relationships with suppliers.
  • Analyze contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government regulations, applicable laws, and other requirements.
  • Analyze, interpret, and respond to terms presented in contracts.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with supplier.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and continuously improve contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience in negotiating key contractual terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of contract management best practices and commercial contract law.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and create and reset priorities as needed.
  • Effective time management skills and demonstratea positive and flexible attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (German, French, and English)with ability to influence and persuade others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • At least 10 years of relevant post-qualification legal or contract experience.
  • Strong drafting skills, commercial mindset and attention to detail.
  • Practical knowledge of GDPR and EU regulatory considerations relevant to contracts.
  • Comfortable working with international contracts and cross-border transactions.
