LeMaitre Vascular is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Sulzbach, Germany team. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and process improvements across accounting functions.

You will lead month-end close, manage reconciliations, and support budgeting, audits, and reports to drive better financial decisions. Fluency in English and German is essential for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/HGB.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with insights.
• Ensure tax compliance and assist in tax returns.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide documents.
• Improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Manage SOX testing and internal controls.
• Assist with general accounting functions.
• Support automation improvements to the accounting system.
• Reconcile prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in Sulzbach, Germany. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing valuable insight to support sound financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); (HGB).
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Oversee the general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to support financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related documentation.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, including providing requested documents and explanations.
• Continuously review and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to resolve financial issues and provide financial insights.
• Manage Sarbanes-Oxley testing and reporting and maintenance of internal controls.
• Assist with other general accounting functions as necessary.
• Assist in and make automation improvements to the Company’s manual accounting record keeping system.
• Reconciliation of prepaids and fixed assets as well as several accrual accounts.
• Perform and manage the monthly consolidation process.
• Cash flow management including cash requirements.
• Generate regular reports to make informed decisions and improvements including Inventory, Sales and Expenses.
