Zusammenfassung

A leading international cargo airline is seeking an experienced professional based in Berlin, Germany to manage projects related to aircraft technology and fleet management. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree and over 7 years of experience in the airline industry, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include evaluating aircraft acquisitions and supporting the introduction of new aircraft into the fleet. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

Task Responsibilities

Be part of a small team with broad involvement across all Cargolux divisions and 3rd party providers. Evaluate both existing & future technology aircraft technology and the commercial aspects linked to it.

Task & Responsibilities

Asset management: provide analytical support in technical, commercial & strategic evaluation of aircraft acquisition, leasing and/ or disposal.

Asset Support: assist through analysis for major fleet modification and upgrade campaigns as well as forecasting major aircraft investment requirements

Project Management: Support Cargolux in preparation to introduce the new 777 into its existing 747 fleet and network with focus on company internal processes. Lead and get involved into the project related to the review of information stream and decision process in Cargolux daily operation.

Essential Requirements For The Position
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
  • 7+ years of experience leading cross-functional project teams and business and technical stakeholders
  • 7+ years previous experience in airline industry (operational environment) is seen as a great advantage
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take initiative and to manage stakeholders on all levels
  • Process Management experience and skills are considered a great advantage
  • Analytical approach to problem statements
  • Work with autonomy within program targets
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Sensitive to cultural diversity
  • Fluent in English. Multiple languages (French, German) is an asset
  • Programming skills (VBA or other) is seen as major advantage.
Working Conditions
  • The position is based in Luxembourg.
  • The position requires a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Flexibility with working hours
