Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems. For our Battery Energy Storage Systems business (BESS), which is providing Commercial & Industrial and large storage systems, we are looking for a Solution and System Expert (f / m / x) Battery Storage.

For BESS, we specialize in solutions that serve a multitude of applications in utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading. Our solutions are utilized for electric vehicle charging and renewable energy integration, both on- and off-grid, among others.

About the job :

The role is based in Büdingen (near Frankfurt am Main).

Homeoffice is offered with the preferred region near Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen or Essen. Regular travelling to our R&D center in the Netherlands and to customers is required.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• Being part of the support team for Battery Storage (BESS) system and solution business.
• Support our European Sales team in large-scale battery storage projects (1–50 MW)
• Provide technical and organizational guidance through the early phases : planning, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
• Act as the bridge between Sales, engineering, production, and service
• Collaborate with external partners such as EPCs, construction firms, grid operators, and suppliers
• Contribute to the development of technical concepts, system designs, and grid connection solutions
• Prepare and maintain essential technical and sales documentation
• Participate in improving our processes and knowledge sharing across teams

What we ask for :

• You have a master's degree in electrical engineering and information technology, energy technology, industrial engineering or comparable
• Deep understanding of energy storage systems
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a sales engineer or from a similar role, spanning both technical and commercial areas.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken. Swedish / Danish would be an advantage
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment and a sense of responsibility
• Willingness to travel within Germany and other European countries (to a limited extent) with focus to Nordics
