Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm in Germany is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain simulation software using C++ and Qt/QML. This role involves communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements, designing intuitive interfaces, and ensuring software quality through testing. Candidates should have a degree in computer science, strong IT experience, and excellent communication skills in both German and English.

Qualifications

• communicate with stakeholders and customers to gather and understand requirements
• define and architect the software foundation for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations, and flight training debriefing stations
• define and design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and UI/UX concepts
• design, develop, test, and maintain software with C++ & Qt/QML by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following software development best practices
• analyze and debug software issues, and fix bugs
• identify and address technical risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies when needed
• participate in planning, stand‑up, review, and retrospective meetings according to the software development methodology
• participate in code reviews and ensure the code meets the defined coding standards
• ensure the software system design and architecture is scalable, maintainable and can be integrated with other systems
