Delivery Hero in Berlin is seeking a Software Engineer - Golang to join the Adtech Retention team. You will contribute to the creation/improvement of next-generation services delivering actionable insights to advertiser consumers and help scale high-concurrency systems that power our adtech solutions.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, partners, and leaders in a hybrid setup with two days on our Berlin campus.

Qualifikationen

• 2 years of Golang experience with distributed systems.
• RESTful and/or gRPC services, microservices with Kubernetes.
• 2 years in software applications with Agile environments.
• Cloud exposure with AWS or GCP; infrastructure tooling with Terraform/CloudFormation/Helm.
• Strong CS fundamentals; focus on high-quality code and automated testing.
• Proactive communicator and collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and monitoring/logging.
• Experience with Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Golang & Distributed Systems Expertise -- 2 years of experience in Golang, with a strong foundational understanding of distributed systems and services.
• Backend & Microservices Development -- Hands-on experience in implementing RESTful and/or gRPC services, building and maintaining microservices with Kubernetes, and following best practices for inter-service communication.
• Large-Scale Applications & Agile Methodologies -- 2 years of experience working on software applications with experience in agile environments.
• Cloud & Infrastructure -- Professional experience or familiarity with AWS or GCP, and infrastructure management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm.
• Software Engineering Excellence -- Strong Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design) with a focus on high-quality code, automated testing, and best practices.
• High sense of onus, collaborative and excellent communicator.
• Infrastructure & Observability -- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Drone, Spinnaker) and monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, distributed tracing).
• Messaging & Caching -- Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Database & Architecture Expertise -- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, ACID principles, indexing), event-driven architecture, as well as familiarity with BigQuery and data pipelines.
