Delivery Hero SE in Berlin is seeking a Software Engineer II (Golang) to join our AdTech tribe. You will help build the Campaigns and Advertiser services that power global campaigns for Delivery Hero brands and partners.

You'll write clean Go code, participate in architecture decisions, and collaborate with distributed teams to improve scalability, performance, and security. Hybrid work with our Berlin campus enables strong collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on Go backend development or strong proficiency in another backend language with interest in Go.
• Experience with relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), Docker and Kubernetes.
• Quality-first mindset: tests, readability, and code reviews.
• Fluent English and good communication skills.

Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer II (Golang) to join our AdTech tribe. You'll help build our next-generation advertising platform that helps partners – restaurants and local shops – promote their best dishes, attract new customers, and grow their business. If you enjoy solving concrete engineering problems, growing your ownership over real production systems, and learning from a senior, distributed team, this is a great next step - and Berlin is waiting for you.

You'll join the squad owning a critical piece of the AdTech ecosystem: the Campaigns Squad, which powers the creation and management of campaigns across all Delivery Hero brands globally, and the Advertiser Service, the central solution for advertiser data. You will contribute to the scalability, performance, and resilience of these services as part of a squad supporting a global user base.

• Own and deliver well-scoped features end-to-end within the Campaigns and Advertiser services, from design input through to production.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable Go code that meets the team's engineering and security standards.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions for the features you build, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other squads across the AdTech tribe to ship reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the services you help maintain, escalating and learning as needed.
• Participate actively in code reviews, estimations, and team ceremonies, and keep growing your technical and business understanding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience, with solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Hands-on experience with Go (or strong proficiency in another backend language plus a genuine interest in Go) and a good understanding of service-oriented / microservices patterns.
• Experience with relational (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Some exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes, and a willingness to deepen this knowledge.
• A quality-first mindset: you write tests, care about readability, and are comfortable asking for and giving feedback in code reviews.
• Good communication skills and fluent English.
