A leading aerospace company located in Bayern, Germany, is seeking a Software Engineer for Sensor Simulation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex simulation systems for training applications. The role requires a degree in computer science or engineering, alongside experience in software engineering lifecycle and sound knowledge of distributed systems. In order to provide high‑fidelity training simulation, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a self‑motivated Software Engineer for Sensor Simulation (d/f/m).
You will join a team of experienced engineers and subject matter experts to jointly define, implement and integrate complex simulation sub‑systems in the domain of sensors and weapons. Our engineers are closely collaborating with other departments and external suppliers in order to provide solutions for high‑fidelity training systems, with current focus on the Eurofighter pilot training simulation system PSTS.
Your responsibility will focus on design and development activities within the domain of sensors, ranging from radar over electronic warfare to optical sensors. Besides the simulation of specific sensor types, the scope comprises solutions for the representation and simulation of emissions, signal propagation, radar cross sections and infra‑red signatures.
