Orizon GmbH, Unit Aviation in Donauwörth is seeking a Flight Control Software, Tools and Simulation Engineer to develop AFCS for helicopters and UAVs, integrate validation, and work on HELIONIX autopilot projects with cross‑functional teams.

You will create and maintain simulation models and verification tools, contribute to tests, support production and equipment engineering, and help advance research in Guidance & Control with a focus on cost-effective autopilot solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Software Engineering or comparable.
• Several years of work experience in Development, Research and Development and Aerospace.
• Experience working with simulation environments, test systems or verification and validation processes.
• Basic understanding of the architecture and functionality of simulators.
• Good knowledge in Unix, Python and MS-Office.
• Knowledge in SCADE and C/C++.
• Fluent English skills both spoken and written.
• Good German skills.
• French is an advantage.

• Development, detailing, integration and certification of Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS) for helicopter and UAV applications – civil and military.
• Support of verification and validation activities within the HELIONIX autopilot projects.
• Creation, further development and maintenance of simulation models and software tools for verification and validation tasks.
• Analysis, definition, execution and evaluation of system and integration tests.
• Collaboration in closed-loop simulation environments incorporating real hardware components.
• Support of Equipment Engineering as well as production support for autopilot systems and their installation units.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary development, integration and test teams.
• Optimization of methods, processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality.
• Participation in research and technology topics in the field of Guidance & Control.
• Technical support in the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions for autopilot systems
