EnOcean is hiring for an AI-focused engineer to advance our wireless sensor tech for smart buildings. You will work on AI algorithms at the core of our products and craft AI workflows that streamline processes across the organization.

We welcome students, recent graduates, and early-career engineers; the role can be based in Munich, Germany, or Utrecht, the Netherlands, with a local employment contract at the chosen location.

The Role & You

We develop wireless sensor technology for smart buildings, and AI runs through both our products and the company behind them. You will work on two fronts: the AI algorithms at the heart of our products, and the AI workflows that makeeverydaywork across the whole organization smarter and faster.

This is a hands-on builder role. We are not looking for a prompt operator, andnot fora data scientist — we are looking for someone who understands the technology andbuilds withit. Students, recent graduates, and early-career engineers are welcome.

This position can be based in eitherMunich, Germany, orUtrecht, the Netherlands. We are recruiting forone roleand will hireone candidate. The employment contract will be concluded with the local EnOcean entity at the selected location.Please apply only once andindicateyour preferred location.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and improve the AI algorithms inside our products — the models and analytics that turn sensor data into insight.
• Build automated AI workflows that take recurring manual work off people’s plates.
• Bring AI into our systems of record — CRM, ERP, HR, quality, ticketing — together with the people who own those processes.
• Prototype quickly, keep what works, and turn it into shared company infrastructure.

What we’re looking for

• Solid scripting in Python orJavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience automating workflows and connecting tools through APIs.
• A working grasp of models, data, and agents — enough to reasonabouttrade-offs.
• Completed AI projects you can walk us through end to end — they matter more to us than degrees or years of experience.
