Zusammenfassung

Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH in Dresden, Germany, is seeking an experienced people manager to lead the Amazon Linux Team. You will guide a team of engineers to design, develop, test, and operate services and components for Amazon Linux, AWS's flagship Linux distribution.

You will hire and mentor a high-performing team, shape the product roadmap with cross-functional partners, and drive high-quality, scalable software across the lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience leading or developing high-quality, enterprise-scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle.
  • Experience delivering design solutions for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software/hardware/networks lifecycle (coding standards, reviews, source control, build, testing, live-site operations).

Build the future of Linux at Amazon with the Amazon Linux Team in Dresden, Germany. As an experienced people manager passionate about Linux, you will lead a team of engineers to design, develop, test, and operate services and components for Amazon Linux, the flagship Linux distribution of AWS.

  • Drive the development and enhancement of Amazon Linux, focusing on high quality, reliability, and scalability.
  • Foster cross‑team collaboration to resolve complex technical challenges and align product and services with customer needs.
  • Hire and develop the team, delivering responsibilities through others.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and managing high‑performing technical teams.
  • Experience leading or developing high‑quality, enterprise‑scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle.
  • Experience delivering design solutions for large‑scope, complex projects.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live‑site operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
  • Experience delivering products in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplined, distributed‑responsibility, and often ambiguous environment.
