JetBrains, Munich-based, is seeking a Software Developer to join the Web Development team. You will own services end-to-end from architecture to deployment, building internal web applications and services.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, Kotlin/Java, Node.js, and modern frameworks like Ktor/Spring to design scalable systems while collaborating across teams.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of backend web development experience with Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Strong understanding of modern backend frameworks (Ktor, Spring).
• Experience designing and building production-grade systems.
• Knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals (networking, fault tolerance, scalability).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS or similar).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-structured code.
• Willingness to own systems in production and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Good communication and collaborative mindset.

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join our Web Development team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can take ownership of services end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and long-term support.

In This Role, You Will

• Design and develop internal company-wide web applications and services.

We'll be happy to have you on our team if you have:

• Strong 3- 5 years experience in backend web development using Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with Node.js.
• A solid understanding of modern backend frameworks (e.g. Ktor and Spring).
• Experience designing and building production-grade systems.
• An understanding of distributed-system fundamentals (e.g. networking, fault tolerance, and scalability).
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS or similar).

• A willingness to take ownership of systems in production (including by offering support and assisting with continuous improvement).
