Hannover Re in Hannover, Germany, invites you to join our GTO-FGS-SDA Payables and Receivables team as a Software Developer C# and Azure with German Skills on a permanent basis.

You will design and modernize applications for accounting, payments and finance, connect systems via APIs, and own architectural decisions while mentoring colleagues. We offer a hybrid work model, relocation support to Hannover, a pension scheme, employee shares and ongoing training, plus access to AI tools like Copilot.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or comparable qualification
• Several years of software development and architecture experience, ideally in insurance/finance domains
• Strong C# / .NET and Azure cloud proficiency
• Knowledge of Clean Code, design patterns, DDD, API design and distributed systems
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD and automated testing
• Proficient German and English with strong communication skills

Our team develops and operates modern applications supporting accounting, payment and finance processes within the reinsurance business. Together, we drive the continuous evolution of our application landscape, advance the digitalisation of key business processes and collaborate closely with a variety of business units and international colleagues.

You can look forward to

• Designing and enhancing modern applications for Reinsurance Accounting Payables and Receivables, while supporting the technical transformation of our system landscape
• Integrating and connecting existing systems as well as developing and optimising interfaces and APIs
• Analysing, designing and implementing business requirements related to accounting, payment and finance processes
• Ensuring maintainability, quality, security and scalability of the solutions developed
• Taking ownership of architectural decisions and technical standards while contributing to strategic digitalisation and automation initiatives
• Supporting and coaching colleagues in modern software development practices and providing guidance on technical and business-related topics

You come equipped with

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in software development, software design and architecture, ideally within the insurance industry and with exposure to finance, accounting or payment processes
• Strong expertise in C# / .NET technologies (e.g. ASP.NET Core, Blazor, Entity Framework, .NET Aspire)
• Sound understanding of Clean Code, design patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API design and distributed systems
• Practical experience in cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure, together with solid knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps, as well as experience with Git and automated testing
• Proficient user skills in German and English, combined with excellent communication and collaboration abilities and the capability to convey technical knowledge effectively to different target audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for driving new technologies and ways of working and continuously improving architecture, processes and standards
