Orizon GmbH, on behalf of Airbus Defence and Space, seeks a Software Developer/Architect (m/f/d) for Embedded Real Time Software in Manching. You will design, develop, and verify embedded avionics software for aerospace applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and compliant integration of software into avionics systems.

The role requires experience with C/C++, Ada, RTOS like VxWorks, and virtualization technologies, plus English fluency.

Your Prospective Job:

For our renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space you are acting as Software Developer / Architect (m/f/d) for Embedded Real Time Software in Manching.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into avionics system
• Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) and safety-critical software development practices
• Perform mission system integration activities on hardware for various projects
• Conduct testing, validation, and verification of software to meet aerospace requirements

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in Informatics and Aerospace / Avionics
• Experience in embedded software development for avionics or aerospace applications and with virtualization technologies (including resource segregation and drivers)
• Familiarity with avionics standards (e.g., ARINC 653, DO-178C) and safety-critical software development
• Knowledge of Hardware Architectures (x86, ARM and RISC-V)
• Skills in C/C++ or Ada, real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks) and with CI/CD Methodologies
• Fluent English skills spoken and written
• German skills would be a plus
