Job summary

OHB SE is seeking a software architect/technical lead for the development of a state-of-the-art simulator. You will drive the creation of technical concepts and requirements, lead implementation efforts, and manage a distributed software team consisting of OHB experts and project partners in an international setting.

The role requires strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with English fluency and willingness to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification.
• Experience as software architect/technical lead or product owner in larger software projects is preferred.
• Experience with distributed simulation frameworks (HLA) and system-of-systems simulation is a plus.
• Several years of professional experience in defence-related simulator developments preferred.
• Knowledge of NATO standards/processes (ECSS-E-ST-40C, ECSS-Q-ST-80C, DO-178C) is advantageous.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
• Ideally previous experience as software architect/technical lead or product owner in larger software projects
• Experience with distributed simulation frameworks (HLA), and with system-of-systems simulation is a plus
• Ideally several years of professional experience in defence-related simulator developments
• Experience with applicable NATO standards and processes, and/or knowledge of related process standards from adjacent fields (such as ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or DO‑178C)
• Strong competence in self-organizing and work planning
• High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility
• Strong competence in working in a multicultural team
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
• Ability and willingness to achieve a German security clearance
• Fluency in both spoken and written English
