A leading aerospace company seeks a Software Architect for Weapons Simulation to design and implement high-fidelity training solutions. The role involves defining simulation systems and collaborating with diverse teams and suppliers. Candidates should have a degree in computer science or engineering and knowledge of software architecture, development processes, and good English communication skills. In order to provide high-fidelity training simulation, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a self-motivated Software Architect for Weapons Simulation (d/f/m). You will join a team of experienced engineers and experts to jointly define, implement and integrate complex simulation sub-systems in the domain of sensors and weapons.
Your responsibility will focus on the definition and design of solutions that cover all training relevant aspects for the simulation of various kinds of weapons. Besides the close cooperation within the sensors and weapons team, you will collaborate with other teams of the simulation departments, operational factors and external suppliers. Due to the high interdependency with the synthetic environment, the Weapon System Simulation (WSS) of the Eurofighter, as well as external suppliers for weapon models, an essential part of your work is the assessment of the interrelations between all relevant components and the definition and alignment of appropriate interfaces.
