Netomi is seeking a remote Software Architect to join a senior backend-focused team on a full-time basis. The role centers on building scalable, low-latency systems using Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Redis, and AWS, deployed with Docker and ECS.

You will design and guide architecture, lead technical discussions, and collaborate with product and DevOps to deliver a reliable platform. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of backend experience and a hands-on approach to system-level thinking.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend/platform focus.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep MySQL experience: schema design, indexing, optimization.
• Redis experience for caching and low-latency access.
• Cloud workloads on AWS; production-grade deployments.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/Kubernetes).

• Proven leadership and architectural decision-making.

Overview

Netomi is hiring a remote candidate for Software Architect. This is a full time position. Work location: India.

The role involves technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, Spring, Kafka, Redis. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building scalable, low-latency, high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and ECS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for Netomi’s core platform.
• Build and optimize low-latency applications capable of handling high-throughput workloads.
• Lead technical design discussions and define architecture best practices across engineering teams.
• Work extensively with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and ECS.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend/platform engineering exposure.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep experience with MySQL including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transaction management.
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching, rate limiting, queues, or low-latency data access.
• Strong cloud experience with AWS, especially production-grade deployments.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS ECS or similar container orchestration platforms.
• Proven experience designing and building low-latency, high-performance applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and system scalability.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, debugging, and production incident resolution.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, SQS, SNS, or other messaging/event-streaming systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Exposure to AI, chatbot, automation, or SaaS platforms.
• Experience leading architecture for large-scale multi-tenant systems.
