Job summary

Solactive AG is seeking an experienced SRE/Platform Engineer to join our Tech Platform Operations. You will tackle big data, real-time compute, and high-availability challenges, focusing on automation and ownership.

You’ll maintain and extend our on-premise environment, implement backup strategies, and work with Kubernetes clusters, Ceph, ZFS, and monitoring stacks. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an SRE or Platform Engineer.
• Hands-on with self-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong knowledge of storage technologies (Ceph, ZFS).
• Experience with monitoring and performance analysis (InfluxDB, ELK).
• Automation with Ansible and Terraform.
• Solid networking understanding (BGP); Fortigate is a plus.
• Proficiency with virtualization (Proxmox, OpenStack).
• Cloud technologies knowledge is a plus; fluent English; German a bonus.

• Supporting, maintaining and developing our on-premise environment
• Executing daily operations to keep production systems running efficiently

Your Profile

• An open mind and creative approach to problem solving with open source-based solutions
• 5+ years of experience as an SRE or Platform Engineer
• Strong hands‑on experience with self‑hosted Kubernetes clusters
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with storage technologies such as Ceph (Block storage, S3) and ZFS
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance analysis of systems and applications (e.g. InfluxDB, LGTM Stack, ELK Stack)
• Deep knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Solid understanding in networking and routing technologies like BGP (Fortigate is a plus)
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization environments such as Proxmox and OpenStack
• Hands‑on experience in cloud technologies is a plus
• Fluent in English; German Language is a plus
