Annapurna IT is seeking a Senior iOS Mobile Engineer to join our Berlin team. You will design, develop, and evolve iOS SDKs and plugins powering real-time interactions for major brands.

You’ll work on streaming protocols, Apple ecosystem integration, and low-latency experiences, while leading technical initiatives and collaborating across engineering teams. Ideal candidates bring deep Swift expertise, experience with XCTest and CI/CD, and a passion for AI-assisted development to enhance code

Senior iOS Mobile Engineer – Berlin, Germany

We are working with our client who are one of the leading AI companies in Berlin, to find a Senior iOS Mobile Engineer to help shape their real-time customer interaction products. You will join our client’s team in Berlin to build and evolve their iOS SDK and plugins that power human-like, low-latency conversations on mobile, directly influencing a platform used by major international brands.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• iOS SDK & Plugin Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, performant iOS SDKs and modular components used by other developers.
• Real-Time & Event-Driven Apps: Build and maintain applications and SDKs that handle real-time streams of data and event-driven interaction patterns.
• Streaming Protocols: Work with modern streaming and communication protocols such as WebSocket, Server-Sent Events (SSE), and WebRTC to enable low-latency, real-time experiences.
• Swift, UIKit & SwiftUI: Apply deep expertise in Swift and core Apple frameworks to build robust, modern mobile experiences.
• Apple Ecosystem Integration: Ensure seamless compatibility with native mobile features and the broader Apple ecosystem.
• Performance & Low Latency: Optimize mobile system performance for smooth, real-time, event-driven interactions and voice/chat experiences.
• Architecture & App Store Processes: Use advanced knowledge of mobile architecture patterns and release processes to ship reliable, maintainable software.
• Technical Leadership: Lead technical initiatives (3-9 month horizon) across design, implementation, and maintenance, and drive operational excellence.
• Testing & Tooling: Work with XCTest, Xcode, CocoaPods/Swift Package Manager, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to ensure quality and automation.
• AI-Driven Development: Be familiar with AI-assisted and AI-driven development workflows, effectively leveraging AI agents and tools to maximize engineering productivity and code quality.
• Real-Time Media (Nice to Have): Experience with WebRTC and handling real-time media streams (audio/video) in mobile applications is a strong plus.
• Collaboration & Communication: Communicate clearly in English and contribute to our client’s engineering culture, including AI-assisted coding practices.
