Axians seeks a Senior Windows System Administrator to manage and support Microsoft infrastructure in Germany. You will focus on operational stability, lifecycle management and service continuity.

Responsibilities include AD, Windows Server, patching, IIS, DNS/DHCP, PowerShell, WSUS, and incident resolution within enterprise production environments. Based in Germany or willing to relocate.

We are looking for a Senior Windows System Administrator to manage and support Microsoft infrastructure platforms within our team in Germany. The role focuses on operational stability, lifecycle management and support of core infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Active Directory services, including users, groups and policies.
• Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Perform patching activities and support server lifecycle management, including upgrades and maintenance.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve infrastructure incidents to ensure service continuity.
• Provide operational support for business‑critical Microsoft infrastructure services.

Requirements

• Proven experience administering and maintaining Windows Server environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Active Directory administration and management.
• Knowledge of DNS and DHCP services in enterprise environments.
• Experience managing and supporting IIS (Internet Information Services).
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with WSUS and patch management processes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows infrastructure administration.
• Experience working in enterprise and production support environments.
• Based in Germany or willing to relocate.
• Fluent English required.

Miscellaneous

• Exposure to hybrid infrastructure environments (on‑premises and cloud).
• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation practices and tools.
