Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager to lead strategic, organizational, and operational testing activities within a large-scale IT transformation program.
The role is responsible for defining and managing end-to-end test processes, ensuring quality and compliance across complex, multi-national project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Governance
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the overall test strategy and test concept.
- Plan, manage, and monitor all test activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define test stages (Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, Regression Test).
- Create and maintain test schedules aligned with project phases and milestones.
- Support test resource planning and ensure adequate test coverage based on business processes.
Test Design & Execution
- Coordinate the creation of test cases in SAP Solution Manager (Focused Build).
- Manage and execute regression testing, especially for SAP S/4HANA systems and applications.
- Support test execution, monitor progress, and prepare status reports.
Tool & Process Management
- Oversee test management processes within SAP Solution Manager.
- Configure dashboards and reporting tools for test progress monitoring.
Defect Management
- Lead and moderate the entire defect management process.
- Classify, prioritize, and track defects across development and business teams.
- Coordinate issue resolution with development teams and project leadership.
Communication & Training
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for testers, key users, and business stakeholders.
- Support end-to-end testing across multiple SAP S/4HANA modules.
Required Qualifications
Language Skills
- German: C2 / native-level
- English: B2 or higher
Professional Background
- Extensive experience as a Test Manager in large IT projects.
- Minimum 500 person-days of hands‑on test management experience in IT programs with 50+ project members and multi-country environments.
- Proven experience must be supported by project references.
Tools & Methodologies
- Strong expertise in SAP Solution Manager (Focused Build).
- Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA business processes.
- Experience moderating workshops and training sessions on test management tools and methodologies.
Certifications
- ISTQB Test Manager or equivalent certification (mandatory for maximum scoring).
Preferred Additional Experience
- More than 600700+ person-days of test management practice.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation programs (100300+ person-days).
- Deep experience (150200+ person-days) using SAP Solution Manager Test Suite.
- Technical and functional understanding of SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft O365.
