Corning Incorporated in Berlin, Germany is seeking a Senior Technology Project Leader – Optical Connectivity Solutions (m/f/d) to drive new technology from customer concept to manufacturing reality. You will lead a cross-functional team, align with stakeholders, and oversee scope, schedule and budget to deliver on strategic opportunities.

The role requires a technical engineering degree, 5+ years in product development, and strong leadership with English fluency; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar (MSc or MBA preferred).
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a strong plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in Product Development (preferred).

• Understands customer needs and drives alignment and collaboration across all functions.
• Oversees product and process technical design and identifies mismatches with market needs.
• Understands manufacturing principles and aligns solutions to fulfill long term profitability.
• Seeks resources (people, machines, materials) proactively to meet milestones and holds resources accountable for delivery.
• Resolves conflict within the project through effective leadership and negotiates resolution to external conflict.
• Facilitates rational decision-making processes with team and steering members.
• Communicates the project status internally and externally to the organization and stakeholders in both formal and informal settings.

Scope Of Position

Senior Technology Project Leader drives collaborative delivery of new technology from customer concept to manufacturing reality for justified business opportunities. Project Management team, in concert with Technology product team members, are the face of the Technology organization in finding ways to overcome the obstacles – technical, organizational, customer oriented to do so. We do that on time, within scope, and on budget using clear concise communication within the team, with our stakeholders, and in partnership with our steering team.

Requirements

• Technical bachelor’s degree in: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar (MSc or MBA preferred).

• 5+ years’ experience in Product Development (preferred).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a strong plus.
• Project Management Professional certification (preferred).
