About the Role

You will own delivery for our software projects end to end: HubSpot CMS builds, custom development, system integrations, and AI agent engineering for enterprise B2B clients. You sit inside the Engineering team, not next to it, which means you baseline the project, defend the estimate, run the delivery rhythm, and stay the single accountable person from kickoff to handover. If you are technical enough to argue with an engineer and commercial enough to negotiate scope with a client, this is that seat.

What You'll Do

• Own scope, budget, and timeline for a portfolio of software and agent engineering projects, from baseline to go-live.

• Baseline every project properly: person-day estimates, milestones, dependencies, and a live risk log in Jira, Confluence, and Forecast.

• Run one clear weekly delivery rhythm across the Engineering team: sprint reviews, risk reviews, change control, and a status pack clients actually read.

• Protect the margin by catching scope drift early and turning it into signed Change Requests instead of unbilled work.

• Challenge estimates. You will push back on both optimistic and padded numbers, and build an estimation model the team can reuse.

• Lead distributed engineering squads across Böblingen and Lisbon without formal authority over them.

• Automate your own reporting with AI tooling, so status packs take minutes rather than half a day.

What You Bring

Must-haves

• 5+ years running software delivery projects (web platforms, custom development, or integrations) in an agency, consultancy, or product organisation.

• Demonstrable ownership of budget and scope, not just timeline coordination. You can talk through a project's numbers, not only its Gantt chart.

• Enough technical depth to read an API contract, a data model, or a pull request and hold your own with senior engineers.

• Experience negotiating scope changes with client stakeholders and converting them into commercial agreements.

• German at business level (client steering committees run in German) plus fluent English (engineering work runs in English).

• Comfort in a distributed setup with colleagues in two countries.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on exposure to HubSpot CMS, HubSpot APIs, or a comparable platform ecosystem.

• Experience with AI-assisted delivery work, agent workflows, or LLM tooling in a delivery context.

• A background that started technical (development, QA, solution engineering) before moving into delivery management.

Your Team

You will report to the Practice Lead Development & Technology and join the Development Team inside Thorit's Development & Technology Practice, alongside software engineers, AI engineers, technical consultants, and UX designers across Böblingen and Lisbon. The Team Lead Development seat is currently open, so you will work directly with the Practice Lead and have unusual room to shape how software delivery runs here. You will also work closely with the PMO Practice, which owns delivery method across the company.

Tech Stack

HubSpot (CMS, custom modules, APIs), Jira, Confluence, Forecast, Claude and Claude Code, GitHub and GitHub Actions, MCP-based agent tooling, Miro, Figma for design handover.
