Eurofins Agroscience Services EcoChem GmbH is part of the group and offers analytical studies to support the testing, development, and registration of test substances worldwide.

To strengthen our Environmental Fate & Metabolism department, we are looking for a committed Senior Study Director / Senior Study Manager.

Responsibilities
  • 14C‑labeled environmental fate studies in water, soil, and air
  • Metabolism studies in plants and animals
  • Leaching, persistence, and bioaccumulation studies
  • Conduct studies according to international guidelines (OECD, SANTE, EPA) and contribute to improved environmental safety
  • Lead, process, and coordinate studies for the risk assessment of chemicals in the environment, food, and feed in close cooperation with your team
  • Create study plans and discuss them with the client
  • Develop and validate new extraction and analysis methods, ensuring variety and challenge with each new study
  • Work under GLP to ensure seamless documentation of all processes, maintaining an overview of your studies at all times
  • At the end of a project, create a study report in English, which upon submission to the authorities can directly influence the approval of a chemical
  • Maintain constant contact with internal and external clients, building and nurturing many close relationships over time
  • Ensure that junior study directors obtain relevant in‑study training, know‑how on conducting GLP studies, reporting, and are integrated into the team
Qualifications
  • Completed university of applied sciences/university degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related scientific field with a major in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology
  • Knowledge of various analytical methods such as radio‑HPLC, LC, MicroBeta, or radioanalysis is advantageous
  • Experience in the GLP area is advantageous
  • Very good German (minimum B1) and English spoken and written, good communication skills, analytical thinking, and quick technical comprehension
  • Good IT skills (especially MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Team‑oriented, customer‑oriented, thorough, and possess organizational skills
  • EU visa is needed
