Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer - Field Application Engineering to support European automotive customers in evaluating and integrating Infineon digital products. You will collaborate with the European FAE Team, Sales, and engineering to drive design-wins and ensure seamless customer deployments.

The role requires extensive knowledge of microcontrollers, automotive ECUs, AUTOSAR, and embedded C/C++.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, IT or similar.
• At least 4 years of FAE/Design Engineer experience in digital products.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, Ethernet, and automotive digital subsystems.
• Experience with ECU layouts and PCB design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the first level technical contact for European automotive customers.
• Support the evaluation and development of customer systems and subsystems.
• Collaborate with the European FAE Team, Account Managers, and Product Experts.
• Travel in Germany and Europe for customer engagements.

Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Infineon, you will mainly support our

customers during the evaluation and development of their systems. A trainee

program will prepare you for exciting challenges, turning you into a specialist

in Infineon’s memory solutions. In addition, we offer the opportunity to work in

innovative automotive application areas as part of our highly motivated

European FAE Team. Within this role, you will get the chance to work on creative

solutions and challenge yourself with concepts for tomorrow and beyond. Be the first level technical contact for our key automotive customers in Europe, with a focus on all digital products from Infineon Support key automotive manufacturers (OEMs) and the corresponding suppliers (T1s) As an expert for digital products, support our customers in their system designs and during the evaluation of digital sub-systems Work proactively on product solutions for our customers’ applications together with the entire European FAE Team, the Account Managers, the product experts and the different business lines Actively manage projects together with the EMEA FAE / Sales Team to achieve joint design-win targets Discuss innovative solutions for digital subsystems with the customer development teams and collaborate with our development department and concept engineering to drive new technologies and product solutions Validate the application on-site together with the customer Prepare and deliver customer presentations and product/application training Travel in Germany and Europe

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed A degree in Electrical Engineering , Physics , Information Technology or similar fields At least 4 years of professional experience as a Field Application Engineer or Design Engineer in the area of digital products and sub-systems Specific knowledge of microcontrollers , Ethernet products and other digital products , ideally in automotive applications Experience with automotive SW (MCAL, AUTOSAR), simulation tools and C/C++ in embedded applications Experience with ECU layouts and PCB designs is an advantage Strong drive , proactive and autonomous behavior Analytical capabilities and the ability to solve highly complex problems Fluent communication skills in English and German #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
