Renesas Electronics Corporation in Germany is seeking a dynamic Business Development Engineer to drive solution marketing strategy for motor drives across EMEA, including industrial drives, servo, building automation and smart appliances.

You will lead cross‑functional collaboration with HW/SW product groups, educate sales and FAE teams, identify white spaces and new opportunities, and develop value propositions, reference designs, tutorials, and go‑to‑market plans.

Qualifikationen

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 7+ years in BD/technical marketing/sales/field applications or product management in semiconductor/power electronics/motor drives.
• Solid knowledge of motor drive systems and controls.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter who can plan and execute.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage engineers and executives.

Job Description

• Own Renesas solution marketing strategy for motor drives in EMEA, covering industrial drives & servo, building automation, HVAC, appliances, power tools, drones and 2-wheelers market segments.
• Act as an industry-expert by providing vision, guidance & expertise to Renesas' sales & FAE community, customers and distribution network.
• Analyse market drivers & business potential, customer challenges & competition's positioning; identify white spaces and new business opportunities.
• Define solutions roadmap, value proposition, collaterals (kits, reference designs, documentation, tutorials) and go-to-market in collaboration with HW & SW product groups; act as the voice of EMEA market inside Renesas.
• Proactively promote solutions to customers and distribution network, in collaboration with Renesas' sales & FAE organisation and channel marketing team.
• Acquire new customers, identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, contribute to increase funnel generation & conversion.
• Build up an ecosystem of partners (design houses, SW providers, labs...), participate and speak at technology events.

This position can be filled also in:Italy (Milano), Germany (Munich, Nabern or Dusseldorf) or Austria (Graz).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or in similar field
• 7 years or more experience in business development, technical marketing, technical sales, field application engineering or product management in the semiconductor, power electronics or motor drive industry.
• Solid working knowledge of motor drive systems: BLDC/PMSM/ACIM/SynRM, FOC and sensorless control, inverter topologies, gate driving, current/position sensing, MCUs and real-time control, power switches (Si/SiC/GaN), EMC and thermal considerations, functional safety (IEC 61800-5-2/STO, ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and relevant standards.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter: builds the plan and then executes it hands-on.
• Strong business acumen: financial literacy, market & competitive insight, strategic & systems thinking, customer & value orientation, decision-making & prioritisation under uncertainty.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; credible with both engineers and executives.
• Influence without authority; cross-cultural collaboration (EMEA, Japan, US, China, India).
• MS Office, CRM, BI, AI prompt. C or Python coding is a plus.
• Fluent English; plus fluent German or Italian strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel across EMEA (up to ~40%)
