• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to optimize pricing, statements of work, service quality, and risk.
• Collaborate closely with sourcing, operations, and buying teams to deliver effective procurement outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring compliance with agreed processes, systems, and standards.
• Analyze spend, identify cost optimization opportunities, and develop robust recommendations.
• Track and report savings against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and share category expertise across the team.

Role Purpose

As a Tactical Sourcing Consultant for Marketing and Professional Services, you will manage end-to-end tactical sourcing activities in the local German supplier market for a major German client in the consumer goods and retail sector. You will combine commercial and contractual expertise with strong stakeholder management to deliver measurable savings, service quality, and risk reduction. Working in an international and collaborative environment, you will help build a resilient, responsible, and digitally enabled procurement function.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end tactical sourcing activities, including RFx processes, eAuctions, tenders, supplier evaluations, and bid analyses.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to optimize pricing, statements of work, service quality, and risk.
• Collaborate closely with sourcing, operations, and buying teams to deliver effective procurement outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring compliance with agreed processes, systems, and standards.

Requirements

• At least four years of tactical sourcing experience, including hands-on experience in the local German supplier market for Marketing and Professional Services; knowledge of HR services and/or consulting is required.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end tactical sourcing, commercial negotiations, and savings delivery.
• Experience with source-to-contract tools and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate bids, develop data-driven recommendations, and identify cost opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• A proactive, delivery-focused, and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage priorities independently.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
