Job summary

osapiens is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to be the technical engine of our enterprise sales in the DACH and EU region, aligning compliance and efficiency requirements with the osapiens HUB for customers.

You will lead end-to-end POCs, tailor demos, and architect integrations with SAP, Microsoft, and ServiceNow while mentoring junior SEs and partnering with Account Executives to drive multi-threaded deals. Based in Mannheim or Munich, travel ~25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in solution engineering, presales, or sales engineering for B2B SaaS.
• Experience in supply chain risk, carbon, or product compliance.
• Proven ownership of complex enterprise deals incl. POCs & security reviews.
• Strong REST APIs/JSON, SSO/SAML/OIDC, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure).
• Fluent in German and English; willing to relocate to Mannheim or Munich.

Responsibilities

• Feed industry insights back to Product to inform roadmap and competitive positioning.
• Mentor junior SEs and contribute to enablement content and battle-cards.

As Senior Solution Engineer with a solution suite focus you are the technical heart of our enterprise sales motion. You sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our Account Executives in front of Heads of Sustainability, Procurement leaders, Supply Chain Leaders and IT — translating intricate compliance and efficiency requirements into a clear vision of how the osapiens HUB will work in the customer’s specific landscape.

You own the technical narrative through discovery, demo, RFP, security review and proof-of-concept — and you carry that knowledge back into Product so the platform stays sharp.

Your Responsibilities

What You will Do

• Be the Solution Engineering owner with prospects across DACH and EU. Accountable from tailoring platform deep dive until the prospect is convinced and has decided in favor of osapiens. You translate companies challenges with regards to supply chain resilience, reporting, carbon management, product compliance, asset operations, and track and trace into concrete solution scope.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations across the osapiens HUB and its modules, showcasing platform value.
• Own end-to-end proofs-of-concept anchored with your prospects value drivers, convincing executive sponsors.
• Architect customer integrations with SAP, Microsoft, ServiceNow, data warehouses, identity providers and procurement systems; advise on data flows, security and scalability.
• Be the trusted owner of functional RFPs, RFIs, and IT-Integration topics.
• Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy, multi-threading and stakeholder mapping; coach AEs on technical and value proposition talk-tracks.
• Feed structured industry insights back to Product - what we win with and why we lose, which competitors outposition us and how, what we need next on the roadmap to convince.
• Mentor more junior SEs, contribute to enablement content and battle-cards, and help us scale the SE function as we grow.

Your Experience

We’re intentionally looking for people who have seen and thrived in fast-moving environments:

• 4+ years experience in solution engineering, presales, technical consulting or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS.
• Experience in at least one of our core domains: supply chain risk & compliance, carbon emissions & decarbonization, or product compliance (e.g. DPP, EPR, PPWR).
• Demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including POCs and security reviews; comfortable with deal sizes north of €250K ACV.
• Strong technical fluency: REST APIs and JSON, identity (SSO / SAML / OIDC), cloud architecture (AWS or Azure), enterprise integration patterns and basic data modeling.
• Sharp business acumen: comfortable mapping a regulatory or operational pain to ROI, TCO and a deployment roadmap a CFO will sign off on.
• AI is part of how you already operate: you routinely use Ai to compress research, demo prep and RFP work, and you have a clear point of view on how to build the best AI-driven version of your role.
• Proactive, structured, calm under pressure — equally comfortable in front of a board and in a Postman session.
• Outstanding communication in both German and English.
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Mannheim or Munich, with willingness to travel ~25 %.

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa or ServiceNow.
• Existing relationships with local SI partners, Big Four advisory practices or industry associations in ESG and compliance.
• Exposure to AI / LLM workflows in enterprise SaaS.
• A third European language beyond your country’s primary language and English.
