Circana is seeking a Middle-Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our Python backend and data-processing capabilities. You will develop and optimize Python and Linux shell scripts for ETL workloads, build automated pipelines, and ensure data quality in a production environment.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of hands-on Python and Shell scripting experience.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Middle-Senior Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work on backend systems, automation, and data processing solutions. The role involves developing robust scripts, maintaining existing systems, migration and optimizing data workflows in a production environment.

We are searching for a self-motivated individual with a passion for enhancing and optimizing technical solutions not only in Python, also in Shell language in Linux environment.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with Python and Shell scripting.
• Strong proficiency with Python and/or Linux scripting (including awk script).
• Experience with ETL development, data validation, and data integration.
• Good understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Ability to debug complex data pipelines and optimize performance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Strong Linux/Unix background.
• Strong Windows/Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• Good/very good knowledge of English.

Nice to have Qualifications

• Experience with SAS/WPS.
• Experience with Perl.
• Experience with Apache Airflow.
