Job summary

A11 is seeking a driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Berlin-based Engineering team. You will build full-stack solutions, collaborating with product stakeholders and nearshore teams to deliver production-ready platforms and MVPs, using TypeScript or other OO languages and a strong engineering mindset.

You’ll work across frontend and backend, shaping architecture, delivering high-quality code, and adapting to diverse projects in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript or at least one other object-oriented programming language (e.g. PHP, Java or C#)
• Ability to explain technical considerations effectively to team members and stakeholders
• Proficiency in German and English to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders

About the Job

We're looking for a driven and impactful Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team to drive transformation through building solutions that bring real results.

As a (Senior) Software Engineer, you'll build and scale a variety of engineering projects, from full product builds to technical audits, through bringing your expertise in TypeScript (or another object-oriented language), frontend and backend development, and product-minded delivery to fuel change and measurable impact.

In your day-to-day work, you'll deliver features across both the frontend and backend, always with a pragmatic mindset, a keen eye for quality and a collaborative spirit. You'll join a small, high-performing team that supports a variety of fast-growing businesses by delivering production-ready platforms, systems and MVPs that solve real user problems.

Our engineering team works closely with product stakeholders, nearshore developers and fellow engineers. In this role, you’ll:

Your Profile:

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript or at least one other object-oriented programming language (e.g. PHP, Java or C#)
• Passion for solving problems with the power of software
• Ability to explain technical considerations effectively to team members and stakeholders
• Ability to analyse product requirements, formulate useful technical clarification questions and estimate their complexity
• Understanding of the basic workflows of a product engineering team, such as version control, code reviews and delivery cycles
• Pragmatism and willingness to adapt to different work environments and types of projects, ranging from full product engineering to technical audits
• Curiosity about various business models and their underlying technical challenges
• Proficiency in German and English to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
