GROPYUS seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative product team at our manufacturing facility. You will transform digital models into physical elements and coordinate PLC, robot and 3rd‑party systems with robust testing and deployment.
You will design and operate software in a hybrid cloud/on‑prem environment, ensuring uptime, latency and efficiency while aligning digital product delivery with physical logistics and manufacturing systems. Occasional travel to Richen is required.
GROPYUS is a technology-based construction company focused on building multi-story residential buildings. Thanks to its prefabricated building system with a wide range of design options, automated offsite construction, and fully digitalized processes, the company is able to create resilient timber housing quickly and cost-effectively. GROPYUS is using scalable construction and manufacturing solutions to tap into a future market, strengthen Europe's innovation capacity, and play a substantial role in improving sustainability. The company delivers its multi-family houses as a complete and turnkey solution. The combination of technology, construction, robotics, and manufacturing expertise means buildings can be created in a fully digitalized end-to-end process. The building system is based on versatile wall and slab elements, making it easier to optimize land use, customize plans, and build fast with both off-site construction and on-site assembly. This system is complemented by the Building Operating System–developed in-house.
You will be part of a highly collaborative product team working at the core of our manufacturing facility transforming digital models into physical elements at scale.
Product Teams at GROPYUS own what they build, including underlying infrastructure, build pipelines, automated testing, release and rollout management, monitoring, and support. You will be trusted to solve problems efficiently and effectively building on top of a solid architecture and operational foundation and will be encouraged to seek out under-attended topics and assume responsibility for them both within your product area as well as across product areas.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for integrating and coordinating the PLC, Robot and 3rd-party systems which manufacture wall and slab elements. You will write software – both alone as well as in pair with your team colleagues, ensure functionality with a solid testing approach and deploy and rollout changes to the live systems. Furthermore, our teams are also responsible for operating and troubleshooting the software they have developed during working hours of the factory.
Join us on our mission to design buildings as continuously evolving products to create the most exciting and affordable experience for all. We build for people and conserve the resources of our planet.
We can’t wait to get to know you.
