Acceler8 Talent is seeking an AI Software Engineer to advance computer vision and embedded AI for real-world autonomous systems in defense and security contexts. You will deploy models on NVIDIA Jetson, build high-performance C++ software, and work with ROS2 and embedded Linux on edge hardware.

This is an end-to-end role owning development from prototype to production, spanning aerial, maritime and ground platforms, where latency, reliability and real-time processing matter.

AI Software Engineer – Computer Vision & Embedded Systems

We’re hiring an AI Software Engineer to help bring advanced Computer Vision and perception capabilities out of prototype environments and onto real-world autonomous systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role sitting at the intersection of Computer Vision, embedded software, robotics and AI deployment in the Defense Sector.

You’ll work on intelligent aerial, maritime and ground-based platforms where performance, reliability and real-time operation genuinely matter.

What you’ll be working on

• Take Computer Vision algorithms from concept and prototype through to production deployment
• Deploy and optimise AI/CV models on NVIDIA Jetson and embedded hardware
• Build high-performance software using modern C++
• Design, implement and optimise traditional and Deep Learning Computer Vision algorithms
• Work with ROS2, embedded Linux and real-world robotic systems
• Improve latency, resource utilisation, reliability and overall system performance
• Collaborate with ML, Flight Testing, Ground Control, Embedded Software and Product teams

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have strong experience with:

• NVIDIA Jetson – Xavier or Orin
• ROS2
• Embedded platforms such as ARM, FPGA or custom SoCs
• Deep Learning model deployment and optimisation
