Intellias is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to design, build, and operate a large-scale distributed search and recommendation platform in the Azure ecosystem. You will develop APIs in .NET/C#, create data pipelines with Spark and Airflow, and run services on AKS with Helm.

Join a team delivering high-availability search infrastructure and graph-based recommendations. Bring 5+ years of cloud and backend experience, with hands-on work in Solr/Elasticsearch, Spark, Airflow, and Kubernetes.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience (Azure preferred) on production systems.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with search platforms (Solr preferred, Elasticsearch acceptable).
• Experience building/operating distributed systems or data pipelines (Spark, Airflow).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes environments (AKS preferred).
• Backend engineering experience building APIs or platform services (.NET preferred).

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and operate components of a large-scale distributed search and recommendation platform.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and platform services for the search ecosystem (preferably .NET/C#).
• Build and maintain data pipelines for indexing, analytics, and behavioral signal processing (Spark, Airflow).
• Design services that run in Kubernetes environments (AKS); collaborate with DevOps/SRE on deployments.
• Support high-availability search infrastructure and ensure performance of indexing and queries.
• Contribute to graph-based recommendations using Neo4j and behavioral data signals.
• Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems, pipelines, and data processing jobs.
• Collaborate with DevOps/SRE to integrate platform services with CI/CD, containers, and production deployments.
• Participate in architecture discussions and evolve the home-grown SmartSearch platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate components of a large-scale distributed search and recommendation platform
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and platform services supporting the search ecosystem (preferably .NET / C#)
• Build and maintain data pipelines for indexing, analytics, and behavioral signal processing using technologies such as Spark and Airflow
• Design and build services that run in Kubernetes environments (AKS), collaborating closely with DevOps and SRE teams on deployments and operational readiness
• Support HA search infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance of indexing and query workloads
• Contribute to graph-based recommendation systems leveraging Neo4j and behavioral data signals
• Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems performance, search pipelines, and data processing jobs
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure platform services integrate smoothly with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and production deployment processes
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of the home grown SmartSearch platform

Requirements

Must Have

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience (Azure preferred), working with production systems
• 1+ years of hands-on Experience with search platforms (Apache Solr preferred, Elasticsearch acceptable)
• Must have experience building or operating distributed systems or data pipelines (Spark, Airflow, etc.)
• Hands-on Experience working in Kubernetes environments (AKS preferred)
• Hands-on strong backend engineering experience building APIs or platform services (.Net/Preferred )

Nice to Have

• Expert Experience with .NET / C#
• Experience with graph databases (Neo4j) or recommendation systems
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or modern AI use cases
