Powerfront is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and integrate AI models into its INSIDE™ AI Customer Visual Engagement Platform, leveraging GPT and other LLMs. You will build intelligent chatbots, routing, sentiment analysis, and personalized recommendations while connecting AI to external tools via Tool Calling.

Aufgaben

Powerfront is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build and integrate AI models for its INSIDE™ AI Customer Visual Engagement Platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI models, primarily using GPT and other large language models (LLMs), into the core SaaS platform.
• Implement AI features such as:
  • Intelligent chatbots
  • Automated ticket routing
  • Sentiment analysis
  • Personalized recommendations
  • Proactive customer support
• Develop and integrate AI solutions using Tool Calling within GPT integrations to connect AI models to external tools and APIs.
• Work with large datasets covering customer interactions, product information, and retail transactions; use data analysis to identify trends and patterns that inform model training and optimization.
• Utilize and manage Vector Databases to store and retrieve embeddings for similarity search and AI context management.
• Apply Graph Database approaches and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques (highly desirable) to improve retrieval and responses.
• Design and implement AI services with serverless technologies, primarily Cloudflare Workers and AWS Lambda, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver AI features.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI model and integration performance for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Stay current on advances in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing, and identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and techniques.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying AI solutions, with strong focus on GPT integrations and Tool Calling.
• Strong experience with Vector Databases.
• Experience with Graph Databases and RAG implementation is highly desirable.
• Experience with traditional relational databases, specifically SQL Server or Postgres SQL.
• Serverless experience, specifically Cloudflare Workers.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML; C# .NET Core is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of AI risk assessment, legal regulations, configuring Guardrails, and familiarity with common AI attack methods such as adversarial attacks and data poisoning.
• Strong data analysis skills with experience extracting insights from large datasets.
• Retail sector experience and understanding of retail customer journeys is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field (Master’s degree or PhD preferred, but not required with significant practical experience).
