Zusammenfassung

Cofinity-X is building a next-generation identity platform. We are seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain core services for digital identity and wallet functionalities.

You will work in a hybrid setup with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions that comply with evolving standards. Join us to tackle cryptography, verifiable credentials, and DID integrattions while contributing to API design, cloud-native architectures, and rigorous engineering practices

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience as a backend or software engineer in an agile development environment.
• Hands-on experience with identity and credential technologies (SSI, DIDs, verifiable credentials, or digital wallets) is a strong plus.
• Strong programming skills in Java or C# .NET.
• Solid understanding of cryptography fundamentals, secure API design, and data protection principles.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Gaia-X, Catena-X is beneficial.
• Analytical and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of core services used by other product components.

• Contribute to API design and integration patterns for wallet and identity services.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot core services to ensure high availability and data integrity.

Your mission

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services, with a focus on digital identity and wallet-related components
• Implement and operate secure, standards-compliant wallet functionality (e.g. credential issuance, verification, and storage) within our platform
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of core services that other product components depend on
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to translate technical and regulatory requirements (e.g. self-sovereign identity, decentralized identifiers, verifiable credentials) into robust implementations
• Contribute to API design and integration patterns for wallet and identity-related services
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in core services, ensuring high availability and data integrity
• Stay current with relevant standards and specifications (e.g. Gaia-X, Catena-X, W3C DID/VC) and help shape their implementation through participation in working groups, expert groups and committees as required.

Your profile
