Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Security Engineering or related work experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Security Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of Security Engineering experience or related work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, SystemVerilog, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply security knowledge and experience to achieve engineering business objectives.
• Develop new hardware and software security features and update features into existing products; ensure security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform security assessments and evaluation of company products, including vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.
• Identify remediation for security risks and vulnerabilities, respond to product security incidents, and assist customers regarding product security related issues.
• Develop and deploy trainings and tools that result in secure product development.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Decision‑making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information; may require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions.
• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem‑solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
