Senior Salesforce Developer
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen and an active Tier 2 Public Trust Clearance or higher.
The Senior Salesforce Developer designs, develops, and implements complex Salesforce solutions to support public sector and DoD environments. This role leads technical design, builds scalable Apex and Lightning-based solutions, integrates Salesforce with enterprise systems, and supports the full software development lifecycle. The Senior Developer mentors junior staff, reduces technical debt through best practices, and ensures high‑quality, secure, and performant Salesforce implementations.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 (pay commensurate with experience).

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, OmniStudio, and other code‑based Salesforce technologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Use Flow for complex requirements, bridging out to code as necessary.
- Develop efficient and scalable code following best practices and industry standards.
- Develop Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages to meet business requirements.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug Salesforce applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including other developers, administrators, and QA testers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for enhancing development processes and applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Preferred public sector experience or multiple Salesforce project implementation experience.
- Reduce technical debt by implementing coding and configuration best practices.
- Configure Salesforce to resolve defects, user, and performance issues.
- Utilize Apex codebase for custom solutions to defects.
- Resolve data migration and interface issues.
- Decompose user needs and requirements into technical user stories.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce platform and applications, with a deep understanding of Salesforce development best practices and standards.
- Proficiency in Apex programming language and declarative tools, such as Flow and Omnistudio.
- At least 3‑5 years of experience with Omniscript, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures and Flex cards, and ability to design and lead technical design sessions.
- Experience developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages.
- Familiarity with front‑end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex requirements and design efficient solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, Administrator) required.
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines desirable.
- Experience focusing on development projects using DevOps, Salesforce configuration, and/or Apex programming language.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active Tier2 Public Trust Clearance required.
- Minimum 12 years of general work experience.
- Experience supporting Salesforce platform(s) within Department of Defense environments.
- Three years of experience developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages.
- Full‑stack engineering experience (database development/integration) including at least three years deploying Salesforce production enterprise applications.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
