Overview

A start up on the mission to develop scalable quantum computers based on neutral atoms. They looking for a talented Quantum Engineer to join our team and work at the forefront of quantum technology.

You will work alongside software, mechanical, electrical engineers, and algorithm teams to design and build quantum computers for our customers. Your expertise will help shape the future of quantum computing as you integrate cutting-edge technology into highly scalable systems.

Responsibilities
  • Module Leadership: Take ownership of a key module in our quantum computer, such as an imaging system, tweezer generation, or a component of the laser distribution system.
  • System Integration: Integrate your module seamlessly into the larger quantum system, optimizing it for performance and reliability.
  • Project Rotation: Once your module is successfully integrated, rotate to new projects, further expanding your expertise and impact.
  • Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with software, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well as algorithm teams, to ensure the smooth development and implementation of the quantum system.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of AMO (Atomic, Molecular, and Optical) physics advancements to enhance the system's performance and capabilities.
Qualifications
  • A PhD or Postdoc in AMO physics or a related field, with a strong research background.
  • Practical experience setting up and operating lasers and optical systems.
  • During your PhD or Postdoc, you should have experience with one or more of the following:
  • Atom arrays created with optical tweezers.
  • Alkaline-earth-metal atoms or Rydberg atoms.
  • UHV systems for ultracold atoms or trapped ions.
