Zusammenfassung

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an experienced EDA Product Validation Engineer (m/f/d) to drive automation and continuous improvement of testing for advanced IC solutions. You will design, implement, and optimize robust test frameworks with strong knowledge of physical implementation, static timing analysis, and timing constraints.

You will work in a global R&D team, performing test planning, regression testing, and defect localization, while collaborating with application

Qualifikationen

• BS/MS in an EDA or Computer science related area (Cybernetics, CS, Microelectronics, Applied Math).
• Knowledge of RTL to GDSII flow.
• Strong knowledge of static timing analysis.
• Strong knowledge of timing constraining and their impact on ASIC flow.
• SystemVerilog Assertions knowledge is preferable
• DFT methodologies knowledge preferable
• Experience with automated software testing in EDA
• Scripting/Programming skills and algorithm thinking
• Basic Boolean algebra and logic circuits
• Fluent English, able to work in international team
• Experience with planning tools like JIRA or MS Project
• Experience with source control and issue tracking tools

Aufgaben

• Create test plans for features/enhancements for an in-development tool.
• Manually verify new code using proven 3rd party tools as needed.
• Report defects and provide input, scripts, layouts to reproduce issues.
• Collaborate with Application Engineers to analyze customer-side issues.
• Implement regression tests for introduced code.
• Run tests daily and on-demand; report results to counterparts.
• Provide weekly reports describing work and future plans.
• Participate in QA and cross-functional team meetings

Position Overview

Join our elite R&D team as a EDA Product Validation Engineer (m/f/d), where you will play a key role in driving the automation and continuous improvement of our software testing processes for advanced integrated circuit testing solutions. We are seeking an experienced quality engineering expert who can design, implement, and optimize robust test automation frameworks while applying strong knowledge in physical implementation, static timing analysis, and timing constraints.

Job responsibilities

• Creating test-plans for comprehensive features/enhancements for one of the developed tools
• Manual verification of the newly implemented code, using proven 3rd party tools where needed
• Reporting defects, ability localizing the issue, providing necessary input to reproduce it, including scripts, layouts, etc.
• Working closely with Application Engineers on analyzing issues on customers side
• Implementing regression tests for covering the introduced code
• Daily and on demand runs of tests, reporting the results to counterparts
• Providing weekly reports with brief description of the work done and the plan for the next week
• Participating QA and cross-functional team meetings

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in an EDA or Computer science related area – Cybernetics, Computer science, Microelectronics, Applied Math, etc.
• Knowledge of full RTL to GDS|| flow
• Strong knowledge of static timing analysis
• Strong knowledge of timing constraining and their impact on ASIC flow
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog Assertions is preferable
• Knowledge of different DFT methodologies is preferable
• experience in automated software testing preferably in EDA area
• Scripting/Programming skills, knowledge of basic algorithms, ability of estimating the complexity of algorithms, creating and implementing ones
• Basic knowledge of Boolean algebra and logical circuits
• Basic knowledge about EDA flow and manufacturing process
• Fluent verbal and written English, ability to work in an international team, having regular international team meetings
• Good planning skills, basic knowledge of one of planning tools – JIRA, MS Project, etc.
• Experience of working with a source control and an issue tracking tool
• Readiness to support team members in force major situations
