Overview
Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy developer, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.
We are looking for our new Senior Project Developer (Germany) to manage the full project lifecycle, including permitting, grid connection and stakeholder engagement from early-stage till ready-to-built status for secured sites. Reporting to the Business Development Director Germany, this person will be based in Düsseldorf (with the possibility of hybrid remote working and necessity of regular travels).
Responsibilities
- Define and supervise project schedules and budgets, maintain the quality control of deliverables, oversee risk management and the preparation of necessary internal reports;
- Coordinate with internal teams, development partners, external advisors, and equipment suppliers as well as different authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant RTB project conditions;
- Evaluate and track offers of external service providers and oversee order processing and support;
- Contribute to financial models, business cases and investment proposals for renewable energy projects regarding all project relevant matters;
- Report on a regular basis to stakeholders on project status, risks and mitigation strategies;
- Engage with stakeholders as needed to move the project forward: local communities, landowners, other developers and any relevant regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Geography, Economics, or a similar field;
- At least 5 years’ professional experience in project development of renewable energy projects (PV or biomass; BESS is nice to have);
- Understanding of the project development process from inception until a project reaches RTB status, as well as German regulation for PV and BESS projects;
- Native or fluent German speaker with good knowledge of English;
- Driver’s license and high willingness to travel across Germany;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
- Very good negotiation skills, effective communication and ability in establishing and developing a network of partners.
