Qualifikationen

• 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial underwriting.

Aufgaben

• Responsible for the management and growth of an assigned book of business.
• Acquisition of new business with a focus on Technology Middle Market insurance customers.
• Analyze customers’ business information and claims history.
• Monitor clients’ activities to change the policies as risks evolve.
• Evaluate acceptability of individual risks and determine overall acceptability of risk, coverage terms and pricing.
• Work with agents/brokers to develop productive and profitable relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and insurance regulators.
• Responsible for profitable results by maintaining high premium retention ratios.
• Manage accounts for assigned territory.
• Handle new and renewal submissions and endorsement requests from agents/producers.
• Document underwriting files to support analysis, coverage terms and pricing.
• Operate according to underwriting authority as delegated by manager.
• Lead renewal business initiatives for territory including execution of pricing, premium retention, coverage analysis, loss control needs, claim service needs and account stewardship.
• Provides clear instruction and guidance to underwriting support staff and operations staff.
• Mentor & coach junior underwriters and underwriting support staff.
