AIXTRON SE sucht eine Senior Product Safety Expert (alle Geschlechter) in unbefristeter Anstellung. Ihre Aufgabe ist die Implementierung komplexer Sicherheits- und Konformitätsprozesse für Halbleiterprodukte.

Sie definieren Anforderungen, führen Risikobewertungen durch und kooperieren eng mit Fachbereichen, um sichere, zuverlässige Systeme zu gewährleisten. Fundierte Kenntnisse internationaler Normen sowie Erfahrung mit SEMI-Standards sind erforderlich.

Qualifications

Abschluss: Bachelor oder Master in Automation, Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik oder vergleichbar.
Mehr als 10 Jahre Erfahrung in funktionaler Sicherheit, idealerweise in Halbleiteranlagen.
Kenntnisse internationaler Sicherheitsstandards (SEMI S2/S8 etc.) und IEC/EN 60204-1.
TÜV-Zertifizierung als Functional Safety Engineer bevorzugt.

Responsibilities

Umsetzung komplexer Konformitätsprüfungsverfahren gemäß nationaler und internationaler Sicherheitsstandards.
Definition von Produktsicherheitsanforderungen und Erarbeitung von Arbeits- und Zielprozessen.
Durchführen von Sicherheitsrisikobewertungen und Leistungsanalysen für Halbleiterprodukte.
Wissensvermittlung und Weiterentwicklung des Personals im Verantwortungsbereich.
Schulung von Kolleginnen und Kollegen; Zusammenarbeit mit verantwortlichen Vorgesetzten.

Your challenge

The area of responsibility includes the implementation of complex conformity assessment procedures in accordance with applicable national and international safety standards.
Define product safety requirements, creation of work and target processes within the area of responsibility.
Solves complex issues and special cases within the specialist area and creates cross-divisional company standards.
Takes over knowledge transfer and professional competence development of employees in the specialist area for which he is responsible in consultation with the responsible manager.
Conduct safety risk assessments and performance level analyses with a focus on existing and new semiconductor products.
Find pragmatic approaches to solve safety challenges associated with such products.
Prepare and conduct validation test, and manage SEMI evaluation processes.
Guide and train colleagues within the area of responsibility.

The skills needed

Education background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic or comparable qualifications.
Experience: More than 10 years’ work experience in functional and robot safe-ty is a plus. Extensive experience with international safety standards. Experience in safety requirements and approaches associated with SEMI S2, SEMI S8 and related SEMI standards. Experience in semiconductor equipment and pragmatic approaches to solve safety challenges associated with such equipment
Certifications: TÜV certification as a Functional Safety Engineer (ideally)
Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with common standards IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 10218, IEC/EN 60204-1, UL 61010-1 and NFPA 79. Basic experience in programming, risk assessment software, Sistema or Pilz Pascal software would be very welcome.
Communication: Strong communication skills, confidence in presentations and technical consulting competence
Teamwork and Adaptability: Highly motivated and adaptable team player with a strong analytical mindset, structured working style with excellent organizational skills, coupled with a passion for interdisciplinary engineering projects.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and cross-project environments while thriving under tight deadlines in dynamic and fast-paced settings.
Team Development: Supporting the development and growth of the team while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Languages: Fluency in English and/or German
