Zusammenfassung

Metiundo seeks a Senior Product Manager - IoT Submetering & PropTech in Berlin or Heidelberg. You will own the IoT submetering portfolio from idea to market, bridging digital housing and smart metering.

You will collaborate with Development, Operations and Sales to translate regulatory requirements into concrete specs, while exploring new digital services in real estate and energy markets.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics/Physics or similar with a data/tech focus.
• 5+ years in product management, preferably in smart metering, IoT or real estate/energy sectors.
• Solid understanding of wireless technologies and reception methods.
• Starting familiarity with the smart meter gateway (SMGW) as a central unit.

CO2 emissions in the real estate sector must be reduced quickly. But what is not measured cannot be controlled in a targeted manner: Our live data on consumption and generation in properties enables the most effective use of electricity, gas, heat and water in everyday life.
We are a young Berlin scale-up that supports sustainability and also lives it in our day-to-day business. We arelooking for a Senior Product Manager - IoT Submetering & PropTech (m/f/x) in Berlin or Heidelberg at the earliest possible date.

Responsibilities

In your role as Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for a product or product family throughout its entire lifecycle — from the initial idea to successful operation in the market. You will bridge the worlds of the digital housing industry (submetering) and smart metering:

• You are responsible for the strategic and operational management of our IoT submetering portfolio (heat, water, gas, “Digital Apartment”, “Digital Basement”).
• You develop our solutions for digital remote meter reading in compliance with legal requirements.
• You design the architecture for the automated transmission of meter data via stationary gateways.
• You create integration solutions for local energy management systems to link the control of consumption and generation systems.
• You work closely with Development, Operations, and Sales to translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into concrete specifications.
• You identify new digital services and business areas through the continuous analysis of regulatory trends in the real estate and energy industries.

Profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in (Industrial) Engineering, (Business) Computer Science, Mathematics/Physics or a comparable qualification and have a strong affinity for data and technology.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in product management, preferably in the fields of smart metering, IoT hardware/software, the energy sector, or the real estate industry.
• You have a solid understanding of wireless technologies and common reception methods.
• You have initial experience or already possess in-depth knowledge of the smart meter gateway (SMGW) as a central communication unit.
• You are characterized by a structured, process-oriented, and disciplined—yet pragmatic—approach to your work.
• You are comfortable with active stakeholder management and have an agile mindset.
• You are fluent in German and have very good written and spoken English skills.
