What you will do

• Lead the full product design process from concept to delivery while maintaining and evolving a unified design language for the AI platform and developer tools.
• Simplify complexity: Translate advanced technical requirements (LLM orchestration pipelines, governance, analytics, observability) into intuitive workflows and interfaces that balance power with usability and reduce cognitive load.
• Engage with users and enterprise stakeholders to uncover pain points and workflow needs, translating insights into impactful design improvements that elevate the product experience.
• Collaborate across teams with PMs, engineers, and AI experts from discovery to delivery, contributing to agile workflows and using design thinking and storytelling to shape product direction.
• Maintain and evolve a scalable design system that ensures consistency, usability, accessibility, and technical accuracy across all product surfaces.
• Promote best practices, strengthen design culture at deepset, and champion design‑led product development.

Requirements

• 5+ years in product design with a focus on complex B2B/SaaS products (ideally developer tools or data/AI platforms) and a track record of shipping solutions for technical workflows.
• Systems thinker: sees the bigger picture, viewing complex problems as interconnected systems and focusing on relationships and dependencies between elements.
• Technical acumen: confident working with engineers, grasping APIs and data flows, and turning abstract ideas into actionable designs.
• Full‑stack design skills: skilled across the design process from research and journey mapping to prototyping, UI interaction, and handoff to development.
• Collaboration & influence: strong communicator who collaborates across teams and shapes product strategy with stakeholder alignment.
• Craft & efficiency: balances attention to detail and visual polish with pragmatic iteration, knowing when to perfect and when to move fast.
• Empathy & user‑centeredness: genuine focus on user outcomes backed by a track record of research‑informed design decisions.
• You care: you’re passionate about building exceptional software you can be proud of.
