Planet A Foods seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to lead a strategic portfolio and scale supplier partnerships for sustainable, cost-efficient ingredient sourcing. You will drive market analysis and negotiations across fats & oils, grains, and sunflower markets, ensuring resilience in our fast-growing production network.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality Management to set high standards and forecast risks, while advancing Planet A

Qualifikationen

• Senior procurement professional with strong track record in strategic purchasing.
• Deep knowledge of fats & oils, grains, or ability to master volatile markets.
• Analytical mindset with ability to turn market data into actionable insights.
• Experience negotiating with international suppliers and stakeholders.
• Professional fluency in English.

• Lead and elevate an assigned portfolio, scouting for alternative suppliers for current products and future innovations.
• Drive strategic market analysis in fats & oils, sunflowers, and grains to stay ahead of global trends.
• Steer strategic sourcing decisions and investments, balancing risk with scaling opportunities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality Management to meet performance and sustainability standards.
• Identify risks and opportunities with early warnings and forecasts.
• Serve as sparring partner to Head of Procurement to optimize global sourcing strategy.

A Senior Procurement Manager, you will be navigating the complex world of global commodity markets to fuel our rapid scale-up. You will lead and scale your portfolio, from deep-dive market analysis to high-stakes negotiations, ensuring that our production remains resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective.

You will report directly to our Head of Procurement, working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where your strategic decisions directly impact our bottom line and our mission to decouple chocolate from deforestation.

Please note: this contract is limited to 12 months. There may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent at the end of the contract.

• Lead and elevate an assigned portfolio, constantly scouting for alternative suppliers on current product optimizations and future innovations

• Drive strategic market analysis (specifically fats & oils, sunflower, and grains) to stay ahead of global trends and volatility

• Drive strategic decision-making in sourcing and investments, balancing risk with the opportunity to scale efficiently

• Partner closely with Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality Management to ensure our ingredients meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability

• Identify risks and opportunities by providing early warnings and trend forecasts

• Act as a key sparring partner for the Head of Procurement to continuously optimize our global sourcing strategy

• Senior Procurement Professional: With a strong and proven track record in strategic purchasing. You bring deep knowledge of commodity markets (grains, fats & oils) or a proven ability to master complex, volatile markets and a hunger to dive deep into the world of food commodities

• Analytical Excellence: You bring a strong commercial background and love turning complex market data into clear, visible format that guides strategic decisions

• Market Intuition: You understand how global markets work, from physical supply chains to the dynamics of raw material fluctuations

• Ownership & Drive: You are a proactive "doer" who doesn’t wait for instructions. You thrive in a demanding, direct environment and take full responsibility for your results

• Creative Problem Solver: You think outside the box to find creative solutions to sourcing bottlenecks or supply chain challenges
